Supporting Pendragon Community Trust

Pendragon is a multi-sensory centre based in Northallerton that provides vital support to those who need us most.

For many of the children, adults, carers and families who visit us, Pendragon is more than a centre, it is a lifeline. We provide a safe and inclusive space for people with severe physical, emotional and learning difficulties to experience sensory activities, relax, develop new skills and simply enjoy time together in an environment where they feel understood and accepted. For the carers who visit Pendragon, we always have a cup of tea at the ready and a listening ear should they need to talk.

Our specialist multi-sensory facilities use advanced sound and light technology to create tailored experiences that can support therapy, communication development and emotional wellbeing, whilst our waterbeds promote relaxation and comfort. Visitors can access a range of activities designed to meet individual needs, which is why many of our clients travel from as far as 80 miles away on a weekly basis to spend time in our amazing centre. For families who may have very limited access to suitable services elsewhere, Pendragon provides an invaluable opportunity to connect, take part and enjoy experiences that might otherwise be unavailable to them.

Every person who walks through our doors receives a warm welcome from our dedicated team. We strive to create a place where everyone feels safe, valued and included, whilst also helping to reduce isolation and provide opportunities for families and individuals to build connections within their community.

As a charity entirely funded by donations, we work tirelessly to keep Pendragon open and ensure these essential services remain available to the people who depend on us. Every donation helps to keep the lights on, maintain our specialist equipment and, most importantly, continue providing a safe space, a warm welcome and vital support to those who need us most.
